Even Miss Universe 1999 can’t stand her face… Professional headshot photographers are about as popular as dentists with regards to the dread some folks approach their next appointments.
About 26-27 minutes in, professional photographer Peter Hurley shares how the gorgeous ex Miss Universe declared her hate for her face… pointing out, if this gorgeous lady hates her face, what little chance the rest of us have vis-a-vis liking our own faces?
Photographers hear this I hate myself in pictures regularly.
It’s a long long video, geared towards the technical aspects of headshot photography.
After the purely technical aspects of professional headshot photography, which is a basic entry level bar to this profession, we act essentially as therapists and entertainer directors, drawing people out, making them feel well enough about themselves, that we can get the shots, creating and capturing photographically the expressions they need for their headshots to be effective.
